Meet Our Team

  • Dr.
    Teresa Danford

Free-time in the Danford home is filled with camping, music festivals, and a splash of dance.

  • Samantha Jonas
    Leadership Team

Samantha was born and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina until she moved to the Raleigh area in the fall of 2008, specifically to have the opportunity to work with animals. Samantha lives in Cary, with her husband, Mark, and their two daughters, Saviya and Mayla. Their fur babies consist of a 8 year old American Pitbull Terrier named Zola, and two cats that she hand-raised. Samantha also worked as a Wildlife Rehabilitator with Wildlife Welfare, Inc. helping to hand-raise squirrels.

  • Stephen Wolfe Jr.
    Leadership Team

'...unconditional love is not a one way street... unconditional love is given to us to do something with.' Phen's passionate vision into animal welfare began with a cat named 'P' (ask him about his tattoo dedicated to that illustrious cat), and continues with a tripod-cat named Que; a mauled-bait-dog, Benson; an auction-won puppy, Alou; and too-many (but-always-room-for-one) more! Phen's education and experience with animals is vast; not only in veterinary hospital skills, but also, extensively in animal rescue work - from puppy-mill and dog-fighting-ring raids to animal cruelty cases and rehabilitation. Phen is the founder of the Paperbag Pitbull, which focuses on education and legislation on animal welfare, primarily for pitbulls. Phen, formerly, served as Vice-President of a non-profit Animal Rescue and on the Board of Directors for Johnston County Youth Services; in addition to serving as a County and District Leader for the Humane Society of the United States and the North Carolina Voters for Animal Welfare. Phen is a published author and speaks regularly on the topics of animal welfare, mental health, and the love of God.
