Pet Allergies
We’ve all known the friend – or maybe been the friend – who has suffered through years of runny eyes and stuffy noses for the love of an animal. Did you know that pets can have allergies too? Mold, dust, and pollen are three of the most common pet allergies. In rare, unfortunate cases, a pet can even be allergic to human dander – the poor animal who is allergic to her human is in dire straits indeed. If your pet is showing signs of allergy like chronic sneezing, nasal congestion, or itching (many of the same symptoms as humans), it's worth having a conversation with our veterinary team to see if they can diagnose an allergy in your pet member.
Food Allergies Can Affect Pets
When your child has a classmate who’s allergic to one of their favorite foods, you can see the distress. Adults can start to develop allergies later in life as well. When a pet is allergic to food, you have to be especially sensitive to it. You need to pay attention and change how you buy food for your pet if you see any of the signs of food allergy. A pet will show signs of food allergies like itchy skin, paws, ears, vomiting, or diarrhea. You can also see behavioral signs: Losing weight, losing interest in food, and sometimes aggression. Talk to a veterinarian on our team if you see any of these signs in your dog or cat.
UTI
Pet UTIs can be a problem. They can cause harm to your pet’s bladder and cause a variety of nasty symptoms. Thankfully, a vet on our team can help treat urinary tract infections. We can help diagnose pet UTI and identify the cause. Once we identify the case, a vet on our team can help provide the appropriate treatment or steps forward.
